This policy clearly explains how SóGuia collects, uses, stores and protects personal data in accordance with Brazil’s General Data Protection Law — LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018) and, where applicable, the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework.
1. Data we may process
We may process data provided during registration and support, such as name, email address, phone number, business information and protected credentials; technical access data, such as browser, device and records required for security; and geolocation when the user authorizes the browser to provide it.
2. Purposes
Data may be used to create and manage accounts, publish business listings, identify the user’s city, provide local results, offer support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, comply with legal obligations and improve the platform.
3. Legal bases
Depending on the operation, processing may rely on performance of a contract or preliminary procedures, compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation, the regular exercise of rights, legitimate interests where appropriate, and consent where required.
4. Geolocation
Precise location is accessed only with permission from the browser or device. It is used to identify the city and provide more relevant nearby results. Permission can be revoked in the device or browser settings.
5. Sharing
Data may be processed by service providers required for hosting, infrastructure, security, communications and platform features, for compatible purposes and under protective measures. Data may also be provided when required by law or by a valid order from a competent authority.
6. Storage and security
We adopt reasonable technical and administrative measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure. Data is retained for the period necessary for the stated purposes and applicable legal obligations.
7. Data subject rights
Under the LGPD, the data subject may request, where applicable, confirmation of processing, access, correction, information about sharing, anonymization, blocking or deletion, portability, withdrawal of consent and objection. See Data Subject Rights.
8. Religious information and sensitive personal data
The churches and temples area is intended for public institutional information about religious organizations and places. SóGuia does not aim to identify the religion of natural persons, create religious profiles of users or disclose lists of members or attendees. Under the LGPD, information about religious belief or affiliation with a religious organization, when linked to a natural person, is sensitive personal data and receives special protection.
Simply viewing a church, temple, denomination or route in the directory will not be publicly presented as a statement of the visitor’s beliefs. Geolocation used to calculate routes depends on browser or device authorization and is used to provide the requested feature.
9. Children and adolescents
Where data relating to children or adolescents is processed, specific legal requirements and the best interests of the data subject will be observed.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The date of the current version will be displayed on this page.
