1. Purpose
SóGuia is a private and independent platform for consulting and publishing information of public and commercial interest. To make it easier for people to access services available in each city, it may provide information about public agencies, entities and facilities, including municipal early childhood education centers (CMEIs), public schools, health units, hospitals, UPA emergency units, UBS and USF primary care units, municipal pharmacies, CRAS social assistance centers, municipal, state and federal agencies and other public-interest services.
2. Source and nature of the information
Information about public agencies and services is obtained preferably from public and official sources made available by the Public Administration. Institutional data may include the unit name, address, neighborhood, municipality, postal code, institutional phone number, service hours, geographic location, services offered, website and official service channels.
Brazilian Federal Law No. 12,527/2011 — Access to Information Law (LAI) — establishes, especially in Article 8, the duty of public agencies and entities to disclose information of collective or general interest. Paragraph 1, item I, includes the addresses and phone numbers of the respective units and their public service hours among information subject to public disclosure.
3. SóGuia’s independence
The inclusion of CMEIs, schools, health units, public agencies or other public services on SóGuia is solely informational and for public utility purposes.
The presence of a specific institution on SóGuia does not mean there is a partnership, agreement, accreditation, representation, authorization or institutional relationship between SóGuia and the respective public agency.
Unless expressly stated and documented, SóGuia does not represent city governments, state governments, the Federal Government, departments, agencies or any other bodies of the Public Administration.
4. Updating and confirming information
Although care is taken to keep information accurate and up to date, addresses, phone numbers, hours, services and other institutional information may be changed by the responsible agency without prior notice to SóGuia.
Information relating to enrollment, availability of places, required documents, medical care, public services, deadlines, administrative procedures or decisions requiring official confirmation should be verified directly with the responsible agency. SóGuia may correct, update or remove information when it identifies inaccurate or outdated data.
5. Health and emergency information
SóGuia’s health pages are intended solely for information and location purposes. SóGuia does not perform diagnosis, clinical triage, prescribing, medication recommendations or substitute for professional guidance. In urgent or emergency situations, users should use official emergency channels, including Brazil’s SAMU service at 192 where applicable.
Hours, services, availability, care flows and risk classification are determined by the responsible agencies and facilities and may change.
6. Personal data protection
SóGuia observes the applicable provisions of Brazilian Federal Law No. 13,709/2018 — General Data Protection Law (LGPD), including the principles of purpose, adequacy, necessity and transparency.
Publication of institutional information about public agencies does not authorize indiscriminate exposure of personal data relating to public servants, employees, students, patients or other natural persons. Public-interest content should, whenever possible, be limited to information necessary to identify, locate and contact the service institutionally.
Special attention is given to children and adolescents. This service is not intended to publish student records, personal documents, medical information or other personal data of children linked to CMEIs or educational institutions.
7. Requests for correction and removal
If a public agency, unit representative or user identifies incorrect, outdated or improperly published institutional information, they may request review and correction through SóGuia’s official channels. After verification, the content may be updated or removed when necessary.
8. Reference legislation
This notice takes into account, among other applicable rules, Brazilian Federal Law No. 12,527/2011 (Access to Information Law), especially Article 8, and Brazilian Federal Law No. 13,709/2018 (General Data Protection Law).
SóGuia may update this document when necessary due to legislative, regulatory or operational changes.
